My Advice: Fans of the show will probably want to own it, everyone else can rent it for nostalgia's sake

Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly (Jackson, Fawcett, and Smith, respectively) went through the police academy, but they were assigned to really cushy jobs. A mysterious man named Charlie (an uncredited John Forsythe supplies his voice) hired them away and made the part of his private investigative team. He calls them his Angels. Oh, and one other thing. They are working for a man they have never seen before. They get all their assignments through a speakerphone in the Bosley's (Doyle) office. Anyway, together they solve lots of mysteries and murders.

This is the complete first season of a show that ran for five years. This show is legendary in American television, but let's face it, it's mostly because of the women who were at the heart (and...ahem...body) of the show. If you put three beautiful women on a show where they are solving crimes and getting into trouble, almost every red-blooded male in the country will watch it. And, the Angels seemed to always have something from their past that would help them out with their current situation; whether it be race car driving or sky diving. The three ladies were absolutely perfect for their roles. They were everything they had to be: beautiful, yet believable when it came to getting their hands dirty. It's a show that is a piece of Americana and should be seen by everyone at some point in their lives.

The DVD only has one special feature. It is a featurette that covers a little bit of the behind-the-scenes stuff, but mostly it's about getting some random people together to go through their memories of the show. It's a little weird that a couple of the people they interviewed have never seen the show before. Honestly, when you get right down to it, there are no interviews with people that actually had something to do with the television series, which is odd. These people talk about things like the formula for an Angels episode, their fashions, and hairstyles, so there's not a whole lot of "meat" to this. Still, it's much better than a featurette where the cast members are ooohing and aaaahing over how wonderful they others are. Two-edged sword, I guess.

If you don't mind scantily clad women running all over your television with huge 70s hairstyles, you might want to pick this one up as a rental. Only true fans of the show will want to own this set.
