My Advice: Rent it

This collection of documentaries by Peter Kuran tells the story of the atomic bomb in America. Uncovering the political state of the world that lead to its development, testing and deployment against Japan in the final days of World War II. It also takes us through the Cuban Missle Crisis and beyond. It is a very honest look at the destructive power of these weapons and how we as a nation tried to come to grips with how to try to harness this power we wound up unleashing on the world.

Even though I think this DVD set is great for its content and it's worth viewing once, I wouldn't necessarily say rush it out and save a place for it on your shelves. Individual reviews of the discs are below:
