Things: You Did Almost Kill Me But I Didn’t Find That Annoying

Late with this one because of reasons.

So Vanity Fair has done a number of “Secret Obsession” videos, which I find fascinating. It’s always interesting to see what cranks peoples’ tractors. And I mean…look at Dev Patel‘s face. That is definitely a man whose tractor has been cranked.

I don’t even recognize the majority of these video games but this still looks cool as hell.

I do appreciate the ratio of carnage to actual science in the videos of High Speed Ballistic. This one is especially fascinating as you’re watching black powder weapons in action super-slowed down, and also you’re seeing two guys used to handling only modern weapons reacting to the experience.

BTW, content warning, I guess? Fake zombie heads explode.

Aubrey Plaza is insane. And Patti LuPone is a legend. And insane. One day someone will write a two-hander one act about the time they spent as roommates.

English Heritage invited comedian Tom Allen to Walmer Castle to see autumnal gardening. I’m not sure why, but the results could be a backdoor pilot for a new show for all I care. Tom is a very funny dude.

The guys at Veritasium went to Corning’s lab where they make Gorilla Glass in order to see the process and also test the results by trying to beat the shit out of the stuff. I learned a lot from this video…but having gone to school in Alabama my deficit of knowledge is vast. Enjoy.
