Things: Now Do You Believe in the Unseen?

Quick round-up of odds and ends so I can pretend to sleep tonight.

One of the YouTube channels I have become addicted to is Veritasium. Creator and host Derek Muller is an excellent science communicator. I mean…when you can make something make sense to me, you obviously have some talent. Here he is talking about an upcoming mission to Europa which sounds bloody brilliant.

Here is the first Veritasium video I watched: about a bunch of mental people trying to make a robot mouse, a contest that’s been going on for quite some time and I previously had known nothing about it.

So here’s Prof. Brian Cox talking about the acid rain on Venus. That I already knew about. But I’m pretty sure I had never seen the straight-up demonstration about what that acid does to organic material before.

So I poked my head into Marvel Strike Force for the first time in I don’t know how long. Jesus, the place is a mess. If you tried to do everything the game had for you, between the special events and the campaigns and so on and so on, you’d be there two hours a day. And you know what? Since I left they’ve added like forty characters and none of them is Hellcow. WTF. Another thing I learned is that the Earth-3 Johnny Thunder is wild:

Shadow King from Marvel Striker Force

A reminder as the latest season of Taskmaster Prime is about to draw to a close: they’ve been putting other countries’ versions on their YouTube channel. As an example, here’s an excellent episode of Taskmaster Australia:

And finally, a goddamn classic.
