Witches Down Through the Ages
So for tonight’s festivities, let’s kick it off with an animated short featuring Mighty Mouse. It’s “The Witch’s Cat” from 1948. We chose a witch-themed one not just because Agatha All Along is dominating most online conversations that aren’t politics, but also because we follow it up with one of the Victoria & Albert Museum‘s excellent series of Halloweeny-themed dives into their collection.
And for tonight’s feature, a film that I saw when I was much too young…for there is a swimming pool scene which is bad for aquaphobes. It’s Alligator. It stars Robert Forster (Jackie Brown), although also look for Henry Silva (Megaforce). It’s 80s When Animals Attack at its finest. Enjoy.
