Tonight, we’re starting with a classic. Not only is it Betty Boop…but it’s Cab Calloway, doing a Kick Ass rendition of “Minnie the Moocher” and doing it…as a demonic ghost walrus. No, really.
Next, it’s the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain performing the piece that they commissioned from Danny Elfman. It’s “Wunderkammer” (which means roughly “Cabinet of Curiosities”) and how cool as hell to be a kid debuting a work by Elfman.
And tonight, a bit of a mad one: it’s here under the title Let Sleeping Corpses Lie. But it had many other titles, including The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, Don’t Open the Window (?), and Zombi 3 (but not the same Zombi 3 as Fulci’s Zombi 3). My personal favorite is the fact the Italian and Spanish titles both translate into English as Do Not Profane the Sleep of the Dead. Now THAT is a serious horror movie title, friends. Enjoy.
