Bela Lugosi, Lassie,
& The Spell!
In what could be one of his most terrifying roles, we start with Bela Lugosi in a short called “Intimate Interviews.” This is from 1932. It’s so very, very odd.
Next: something I bet you never thought you’d hear me say…er, see that I typed. It’s an episode of Lassie for crying out loud. That’s right, a seasonal episode called “The Witch” from 1955.
And lastly, the movie The Spell, otherwise known as I Can’t Believe It’s Not Carrie. With Lee Grant and a very young Helen Hunt. And here’s the best bit: it’s got Elvira hosting it from a Halloween marathon back in 1993. Score!
