32 Days of Halloween XIV: Day #15

Radio adapalooza, The Veil, &
The Curse of the Black Widow!

I have no idea where I found the first old school radio ad for a horror movie, but they’re kind of amazing. Deborah Rolski put together a playlist on YouTube for them, which includes my personal favorite, Werewolves on Wheels.

Since we need some more Karloff–like always–this is from his series, The Veil. This was never actually broadcast and was finally seen in its original form in the 1990s. Enjoy this episode: “Destination Nightmare.”

And lastly, for tonight’s feature, it’s 1977’s made-for-TV movie, Curse of the Black Widow. It was directed by Dan Curtis and stars Anthony Franciosa (the Finder of Lost Loves…no, seriously), Vic Morrow, Donna Mills, Patty Duke, June Lockhart, and Sid Caesar (!). Enjoy.
