Lord Kitchener

Here’s a word I didn’t know until today: when looking up Lord Kitchener on Wikipedia, he is listed as “Lord Kitchener (calypsonian).” I have no idea why the word “calypsonian” makes me so happy but hey, I’m a guy with a degree in English so I’m weird anyway.
I’ve spoken many times about the lovely sampler platters that are compilation albums. I forget which one introduced me to Lord Kitchener, but this is the song that first turned me onto him. And I have no idea why this album cover misspells his stage name, but it’s the best picture I could find. And he wears a hat better than whoever misspelled his name, anyway. So that’s something.
