Thank you for the review. No mention of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki? When he wasn’t on screen he was dearly missed. He was worth at least 1 cup in this movie. Is he mad? Possibly. Agree with Idris he has such a presence on screen! And Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is always dependable.
Racoon: Thanks for the comment. If I didn’t mention Hiddleston then that was definitely my mistake. Some of my favorite moments were when we checked in with him in his cell, looking at what was going on outside and biding his time. He’s fantastic.
Widge,
On the wackiness subplot, The Avengers Widge. The Avengers. The possession by Loki lead to the wackiness. He says something about having a god in his head. So there’s your connection. Once I heard that, the behavior made since. Whether it annoys a second time, only time will tell.
Bruce
Bruce: If he said that then maybe that was the line I needed…but I totally missed it. Granted he was a bit mumbly…and I’m half-deaf. I’m sure I’ll wind up seeing it a second time. Like I said, though, hell, it’s fun. Thanks for the comment.
Widge, I have to say I use you as my gauge on whether I should go see a movie. I have found you and I have very similar tastes, which does scare the bejezus out of me, but I’ve lived to deal with it. I’ve read many remarks that led me to believe it was a B movie, but I have so say for my tastes you were right on. Asgard was amazing, the funny elements were indeed very funny and it largely succeeded in feeling epic, with just awhimper of an ending but immensely entertaining.
Troy: I’m glad you’ve learned to deal with your fear. I’m scared to have the taste in things that I do, so I can appreciate what it takes to work through that. Glad you dug the film. Stay strong, my brother.
