32 Days of Halloween VII, Day 25: Invasion of the Saucer Men!

Invasion of the Saucer Men

In a short while, we’ll be heading for 1957 and sci-fi comedy mayhem. But first, let’s head back a bit to see Richard Donner directing a superbly cast Don Rickles and Bobcat Goldthwait as ventriloquists. The younger one wants guidance from his older hero, but, well, it’s Tales From the Crypt, so things are going to go south in a hurry. Written by Frank Darabont.

And now for something completely different. This radio show, The Witch’s Tale, was hosted by Old Nancy (a prototype of EC’s Old Witch) and her cat, Satan. This episode is from 1934 and for some reason, creator Alonzo Deen Cole destroyed many of the episodes in the 60s. So this is obviously one of the ones he didn’t get around to. “Hairy Monster.”

And lastly, it’s 1957 and teens vs. aliens with the fate of the world in the balance! Well, mostly. Look for the genius of Frank Gorshin (yes, The Riddler) in this. Enjoy.
