Our amigo The Hanging Brain clued us in to the guitar stylings of Jon Gomm. Now…I can’t use a guitar as a guitar. So I’m truly impressed by anybody who can use a guitar seemingly as multiple instruments at one time. This is “Passionflower.”

Yeah, when he starts doing it one hand he’s just showing off. Sheesh. Anyway, that’s available as an MP3 exclusively from his store as a Pay What You Want setup, and 10% of the proceeds go to The Happy House children’s home in Watamu, Kenya. Dude’s like the Viggo Mortensen of guitars.
Interesting here: a live performance of “Curs in the Weeds” by Horse Feathers, accompanied by dancing by the South Shore Dance Alliance. And you know how I am about strings.

That’s available on both CD and MP3 from Amazon, although the MP3 download’s half the price of the CD. So.

Joker‘s debut album, The Vision, has fit perfectly into my need for more music that I can use to distract my brain so I can actually get work done. And just in time, since I was wearing out Sleigh Bells. This is the title track, featuring the badass wailing of Jessie Ware.

It’s available as both a CD and MP3 download from Amazon.
Here we have the latest from Gym Class Heroes and the album The Papercut Chronicles II. The name of the song is “Holy Horseshit, Batman.” “Only time will tell, I’m just relating facts.” Very nice.

The CD and MP3 download are the same price, so go with the physical copy. Just safer that way.

And now over to Friends of Dean Martinez and this amazing piece that belongs on a film soundtrack somewhere. It’s “Lost Horizon.”

Wow. I didn’t realize this was from 2004. It’s available on both CD and MP3 download from Amazon. The MP3 download is $3-$4 cheaper, just FYI.
And lastly, a really nice mashup of Ludacris and The Jackson Five, “Runaway Love/The Young Folks.” It’s from J.J. Brown’s album mashing up both artists, Re-Release Therapy.
