That’s right, Movie Night #5 of 32 Days of Halloween is reserved for films involving giant creatures trying to kill us all. Because that’s quality. Over the years, we’ve looked at a giant deadly mantis, giant spiders, even giant bunnies and a 50-Foot Woman. But now we move to ants. Specifically the giant ants of Empire of the Ants, ready to take over the world and subjugate humanity. They plan to start with Joan Collins. You know, as you do.
Featuring huge “monster props” and odd FX (even for 1977) it’s a classic of the Giant Mutant subgenre. Enjoy.
