Your Monday Morning Mental Sorbet: A Halloween Yard Sale Bargain

Real skeleton

Each week, we try to give you something to start your week with: something that will jump start your mind in a weird direction. And let’s face it, if your mind is going in a weird direction, then the cognition-seeking missiles with which the work week is armed will have less chance of detonating inside your skull.

Man, that almost made sense.

Anyway, since we’re being truthful with our advertising…unlike the news stations that ran with this story (who apparently have a different definition of “spooky” than the rest of us), about an older couple who got a bargain at a yard sale, I’ll just say that it doesn’t have, by any stretch of the imagination, have Rox’s involvement. On one hand, I don’t want to spoil the ending, on the other hand, I didn’t want to mislead you.

And please please please…I hope all of you get the insane Bay City Cabinets ad before the video that I see. Because that could have been a Sorbet in itself.

So did somebody working at the college in question…lose it in a poker game? Leave it at a restaurant when they went out to dinner? Sell it on eBay? Give it away on Craigslist? Launch it from a trebuchet at a neighbor’s house? Lend it out to somebody for a production of The House on Haunted Hill: The Musical and neglect to get it back? We may never know.

  • I got the “Bay City Cabinets” ad at the front. THAT was more Sorbet-ish than the article.

And to the older couple? Get that back and SELL IT ON EBAY! $3000 is awesome for the deal!
