Day 12 became a Poe day here at 32 Days of Halloween starting last year. That’s when we had a double dose of The Pit and the Pendulum with Vincent Price to kick off with.
Well, this was a find: gaming types just go ahead and smirk that I am so out of touch with your particular arena of stuff. There’s a reason I don’t buy games, okay? But it’s times like this I regret it–apparently there was a game released in 1995 called The Dark Eye that was very Poe-heavy. And it had this: William S. “Uncle Bill” Burroughs reading “The Masque of the Red Death.”
What’s both funny and demoralizing are the number of comments on the YouTube pages complaining about the narrator. To them I can only say: does your mom know you’re on her computer again? Fools.
