Okay, Day 8 used to be for Cary Grant…but let’s face it, there’s only so many Grant films that meet our overall 32 Days theme. Sure, there are the Hitchcock films, but they just don’t fit the way that, say, Arsenic and Old Lace and Topper.
So looking for some new direction to take us, I thought on one hand we have had a number of different versions of “The Raven” performed here–is there room for one more? But when the other hand brings you the knowledge that it’s a version read by James Earl Jones? Hell yes, clear the runway.
I said a while back that Jones should take his readings on the road…is there anyone among us who wouldn’t pay to hear him do a live reading of…anything? Seriously now…
