Sam Neill, WETA workshop, and mysterious goings-on–that’s right, it’s Under the Mountain, the film based on the novel & TV show of the same name. Lionsgate is releasing it on DVD, with some extras–including an audio commentary with the co-writer and director plus a “making-of” documentary.

After the sudden death of their mother, teenage twins Rachel and Theo travel to Auckland to live with their aunt and uncle. Rachel finds her close relationship with Theo challenged, as she tries to reach out to her distraught brother but he refuses to face his grief. To divert their attention, they take notice of their new surroundings and the unsettling behavior of their neighbors. After investigating their creepy house, the two find what can only be described as an alien environment plus they overhear odd whisperings of “the fire-raiser.”
