Stuff You Need to Know: Do You Think They’ve Offered “Gobots” to Uwe Boll Yet?

Stargate SG-1 cast

  • Amazon has the entire series of Stargate SG-1 on sale today for $131.99, which is 60% off. While stocks last, of course.

Also Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are out on Blu-Ray September 22nd. Click on the titles to pre-order yours…although I see Hot Fuzz is just a reminder thing and not an order yet. I’ll keep an eye on it.

And Tuffley reminded me that Windows 7 is available for pre-order on Amazon as well: here.

Speaking of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, in case you hadn’t seen it, Nick’s on Twitter. We need Simon on there. And their next film, Paul, has a website up where they’re going berserk with the behind the scenes stuff.

    Direct link for the feedreaders.

And speaking of Blu-Ray, the original film MASH is hitting it September 1st. No pre-order available yet.

  • The Fighter is not a spin-off of The Wrestler. It stars Mark Wahlberg as a guy who grows up to be the world lightweight champion. Christian Bale plays his helpful half-brother. And Amy Adams is in talks to join and play Wahlberg’s girlfriend. Source.
  • Law and Order: SVU will not become a starring vehicle for Richard Belzer, it seems. Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay have locked in for two more years. Stephanie March will return to play ADA Alex Cabot for at least ten episodes as well. Source.
  • By the way, did you see that Transformers 2 did $390M worldwide? Because it did. That sound you hear is every single damn toy product in history being pried from development hell. Source.
  • TwoMorrows is having a 50% off sale for thirty-one items and they’ve extended that through July 4th. You can find the list here. There’s a lot of good stuff, although the Roy Thomas items are near and dear to my heart, plus a Mark Evanier book. So check it out if you love the comics.
  • The trailer for Zombieland is up, and it looks encouraging. Woody Harrelson makes for an impressive zombie killer.
