Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor

So Matt Smith is confirmed as the 11th Doctor Who. Huge shoes to fill as it is Doctor Who and he is taking over from David Tennant. So. I don’t have a dog in this fight, so feel free to debate the matter in comments if the spirit moves you. He seems enthusiastic enough and says he hasn’t slept, so I like him already. Although I must confess: his hair scares me.

Anyway, here’s an interview with him and following that are some snippets of him in action I’ve been able to find online. FWIW…

Here he is at the first part of The Shadow in the North, the Philip Pullman book translated to the screen by the BBC. That’s him as Jim Taylor, talking to JJ Feild as photographer Fred Garland. And Billie Piper is playing Sally Lockhart. And that dog towards the end is awesome.
