Ken Plume from Quick Stop Entertainment and I spend a lot of time on the phone. We have conversations that make very little sense. Then one day, I decided that we should harness our powers to save the world from certain death at the hands of easy listening pop radio stations. But Ken would hear none of it and instead he insisted we harness our powers for this…monstrosity, entitled “Nuts on the Road.”
Just remember…you’ve been warned.
And as a very special warning: this episode was recorded live in the car on our recent trip to Miami. It’s very, very, very long. You listen or download at your own risk. The file is also very, very, very big. The podcast was recorded in one take except for a bit I cut out because I learn from Jeremy Clarkson’s mistakes.
The best way to think about this episode is that we went about this in a very studied way: trying to combine the Hope and Crosby road movies with obvious and deliberate references to Homer’s Odyssey. I’m sure you’ll be able to pick those out very easily.
Oh, one last thing: we’re very, very sorry.
Direct download of the file here.

You would be referring to this mistake?
Craig: Actually, no, I hadn’t heard about that mistake. Which wasn’t actually a mistake–it was just Clarkson being Clarkson. I wonder if we need to expand the Ross and Brand campaign to include him? And maybe Frankie Boyle while we’re at it…
Anyway, no, I was referring to the mistake he made in letting out his personal information thinking he was unhackable.
Man, it’s been week of the giant podcast in all my favorites.
Not that I’m complaining. I’ve wanted a new “Nuts” for a while. Thanks!
Steve: You might not be thanking me after you listen, so I’ll say You’re Welcome now while I still can. :)
