When you first hear that The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is covering Isaac Hayes’ “Theme from Shaft,” that alone is worth a chuckle. However, not only is it amusing because of their performance–the musical bit is quite good, too.

It’s funny–the ukulele doesn’t get a lot of respect. You see it and you start snickering. Okay, maybe not you. Maybe that’s just me. But regardless, I think what we need is a Les Claypool of ukuleles. Thoughts?
