Vampire Pinned Under Rocks For Four Millennia, Wakes Up Pissed Off

Chris Sarandon in Fright Night

Well, this is a new one on me–how do you keep a vampire down in its grave? Cross or crucifix? Holy water? Silver? Running water? A copy of John Carpenter’s Vampires?

Nope. Just big stones. That’s right–they found a four-thousand year old grave in East Bohemia and within is somebody who would have been thought a vampire by his friends and neighbors. They–and I keep saying they, these are a bunch of archaeologists saying this, it’s not like a bunch of fast food workers suddenly got a sudden wild hair to dig a random hole or something–are fairly certain he was thought a vampire because “When buried, the dead man was weighed down with two big stones, one on his chest and the other on his head.”

And just think: now when you threaten to pin a Vampire LARPer under a boulder, you will at least be historically accurate in doing so.
