Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, the people who brought you Ask a Ninja, have been tapped to remake the pinnacle of late 70s cinema, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, which spawned a very unlikely film franchise. And an even more unlikely cartoon. They’re apparently going to scribe it together with Nichols directing.
When asked about the opportunity to bring killer tomatoes to a new generation, Nichols stated, “‘Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!’ is the masterwork of a generation. We can only aspire to recapture that magic.”
What I’m looking forward to is Daft Punk covering “Puberty Love” with the inevitable Paul Oakenfold remix.
