No, you’re not seeing things. We’re presenting our first Region 2 DVD contest. Let’s explain the prize, then we’ll get to what this means to you, the consumer.
We’ll get to what they have to say for themselves in a moment, but the latest teen comedy to not suck is Superbad, which is out on a Region 2 two-disc set in a version with new footage, plus special features, including cast and crew audio commentaries, deleted scenes, blooper reels and making of featurettes.
We have three copies of it to give away. Want to win? Read this first.
This is a Region 2 PAL DVD. If you don’t know what that means, you might want to check this out and perhaps this out before you enter. But that’s right…we are accepting entries from any country that is officially considered Region 2 plus the usual suspects of the U.S. and Canada.
We must have lost our frickin’ minds.
Anyway, if you win a copy of this and you get it in the mail and you realize, for example, that you live in Kansas and don’t own a Region 2-capable player or the ability to play stuff that’s PAL video, we will tolerate no whining. In fact, we will openly mock you.
Also, if you have a problem with the entry form and you can’t make your address fit for some reason, let me know.

I buy so many Japan-only Region 2 DVDs of limited edition anime movies and Japanese rock concerts that I had to buy a region free DVD player that would play anything from anywhere.
