Our penultimate movie night of the 32 Days of Halloween, I’ve decided to go back to one of the classics that we’ve neglected to touch upon thus far: the 1923 Lon Chaney-starring silent film of Hunchback of Notre Dame. I also didn’t recall the fact that it’s so long. Wikipedia lists the running time as over two hours, but the version we have here is at an hour-forty.
Looks like the best version we have of this on DVD (if you don’t feel like watching it cobbled together from bits on YouTube) was released this year from Image, the “Ultimate Edition.”
