Now this is pretty damn awesome. We all know Mel Blanc as the voice of beloved animation characters from our own respective misbegotten childhoods. We’ve recently talked about his appearances in live action television, doing comedy. But it only makes sense that the man had his hands in advertising.
The ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive Project Blog has posted a 25 minute audio file ripped from an album that Mel Blanc’s company, Mel Blanc Associates, had pressed. The audio is of a speech Blanc gave on advertising back in 1966. And it’s just as funny and informative as you might figure it would be.
