I only recently found out about Gilligan’s Planet, despite having enjoyed the original show and its many follow-on bits. (For example, I remember back when I was knee-high to a fetus, I used to think that the Gilligan’s Island/Harlem Globetrotters team-up was the best TV movie ever.) And that’s not a mistake: the entire cast returned to reprise their roles as cartoons except for Tina “the movie star” Louise, whose role was taken over by Dawn “Mary Ann” Wells.
And that’s all well and good–but who thought it was a good idea to have them all Rex Harrison their way through the theme song? Gah.
