Well, it had to happen eventually. September 3rd is the last time the Back to the Future Ride will run at Universal Studios Hollywood. Instead there’s going to be a “Simpsons Thrill Ride” in its place, set to open next spring. If it’s an Itchy and Scratchy ride where an audience plant gets decapitated, then count us in.
Fans will apparently get an opportunity to be last ones to ride the Back to the Future attraction and win a DeLorean. So that would ease the grief and loss a bit, I should think.
