One of the things I miss most about going to San Diego Comic-Con was my annual trek over to see Dave McKean‘s artwork on display at the ASFA booth. It was lots of lots of things that you and I could never hope to afford. So I’d go and cry and gnash my teeth for a bit, rend my garments, you know, the usual. Once I even got to meet the man himself, who was terribly nice. And I got to see some of his videos, which of course predated Mirrormask, but were all glorious. I would love to get a DVD of Dave’s Greatest Hits.
All of that to say, The Neil reports McKean is doing an exhibition in Rye. Wherever you can see McKean’s work, do go. It’s worth it. Check out this here to see some bits.
