Apparently they’re making a direct-to-video film adaptation of Abbott’s Flatland. The original MAKE Blog post where I found this does state that it’s part of an educational DVD, which makes me feel a little bit better about the idea. But still, you never know.
Of course, it does give me a brazen reminder that I never did post here the Flatland inspired t-shirt and gear I added to our Cafepress store a few weeks back. That’s right: some people think of higher dimensions and are inspired to enter the realms of science. We, money-grubbing bastards that we are, are inspired to enter the realms of retail. That’s just our thing.
