TV Squad and Pop Candy reported that members of the original cast of The Office (i.e., from across the pond) will guest star this season on the U.S. version of The Office.
Alas, no plans for a Gervais/Carell faceoff on screen, though he and Stephen Merchant will be coming over to write an episode.
