Good news, cetacean fans!
Eight bottlenose dolphins who were washed out of Gulfport, Mississippi’s Oceanarium during Katrina were found huddled together offshore in a makeshift pod, still surviving in the Gulf’s “deeply polluted waters.” Those dolphins are looking to be rescued soon.
Unfortunately, some of the regions other aquatic guests were not so lucky, including a number of sharks and fish from New Orleans’ outstanding Audubon Zoo. But let’s concentrate on the good news coming out of this disaster, okay?
