Night 14 of 32 Days of Halloween has been reserved for Sir Christopher Lee. And since Rox found us the Michael Rennie version of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde from this morning, she was kind enough, in her role as staff Hammerologist/Cushingologist to uncover this 1971 version. Entitled I, Monster, it has Sir Christopher in the dual role of Jekyll and Hyde, although the names have been changed to protect the heinously guilty. Cushing is on board as well.
Please note: a more heinous cat scene will not appear until Re-Animator many years later.

Update: Alas, the full film’s been taken down. There’s not even a good version of the trailer we can fall back on. If anyone finds it, please let me know.
It’s available from Amazon on DVD.
Previous bits of movie fun on this night have been The Oblong Box, Mad Love, Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors and the original House of Wax.
I had not seen this or the Rennie version before. I’m enjoying this Halloween series. Thanks!
Rox gets all the credit for those. I didn’t know the Rennie version existed before either. Glad you’re digging the array of stuff!
